I recently started working 2 days a week as the Ealing Dementia Action Alliance Co-Ordinator which has been wonderful – working with great people to make Ealing a Dementia Friendly Community. We visited the Town Hall in Southall to give a talk to the women’s film group on Wednesday and were asked lots of questions about memory loss. I also went to the launch of the Liss Dementia Café on Thursday and spoke to people there about planning ahead for dementia.
Today People Management magazine published an article about the work of Pathways and Dementia Carer Friendly Workplaces (DCFW), read more here: http://bit.ly/1Xrs4u9
The dreaded ‘sufferer’ snuck in without me realising! Apologies, but the online magazine is read by thousands of HR employees and therefore very good exposure for us and DCFW. Hope you all had a good Dementia Awareness Week, here’s to Carers Week coming up in June.
